There is no charge for participation, but you must purchase 4 skeins of yarn for this project from Needle Nook. No exceptions.
The pattern (
The Sharon Show by Casapinka) is available on Ravelry for $7.00. You should pay for, download, and print the pattern before you purchase your yarn. We have a list of suggested colors, or feel free to choose your own. Please wind all colors ahead of first session and sign up and register with us.
In addition to yarn, you might want to purchase stitch markers, a row counter, highlighter tape, a magnet board (or other form of pattern holder). We found it helpful to go through and highlight certain directions throughout the pattern. See our example. You will also want to decide which colors are A, B, C, and D.
Feel free to change anything you do not like. you may do more or less rows of a certain pattern or color if you choose. Remember this is your project and you should do it like you want. Just be sure to add or subtract enough to end up with the desired length.
Additional Tips:
Write down your color numbers and corresponding letters on a post it note, so you can move this from page to page.
Any rows with slip stitches should have high contrast if possible.
Add two plain rows in D at the end of section 11.
Catch the edge stitch when carrying yarn up the side, loosely.
When doing slip stitch rows, do the "slip n' slide".
Help is available on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Saturday, but please call first.
